Lauren McMaster joined the Office of the General Counsel in 2019. Lauren previously served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Higher Education Unit at the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, where she represented the Colorado Department of Higher Education, Fort Lewis College, and Colorado Mesa University. Prior to her time at the AG, Lauren worked in the Office of University Counsel at the University of Colorado Boulder. Lauren specializes in advising on matters related to board governance, compliance, Title IX, and student affairs. She holds a J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School and a B.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University.
