CSU System leaders recognized among Colorado’s top executives

May 26, 2026

Colorado State University System’s commitment to strong, visionary leadership is reflected in the women helping guide its campuses into the future — and national recognition is once again highlighting that impact. This year, Dr. Audra Spicer, interim president and CEO of CSU Global, was named a first-time recipient of the Titan100 award, joining a growing list of CSU System leaders recognized for innovation, influence, and leadership across Colorado.

The Titan100 program honors Colorado’s top 100 CEOs and C-level executives, recognizing leaders who demonstrate exceptional vision, passion, and influence in their industries and communities. For the CSU System, Spicer’s recognition reflects not only her leadership at CSU Global but also the broader culture of empowering women leaders across the institution.

Spicer has helped lead CSU Global through a period of growth and transformation, supporting the university’s mission of expanding access to flexible, career-relevant education for modern learners nationwide. Her leadership has focused on operational excellence, student success, and innovation in online education — areas increasingly critical to the future of higher education.

Her recognition also builds on a strong legacy of female leadership within the CSU System. Amy Parsons, president of Colorado State University in Fort Collins, is herself a past Titan100 honoree. Parsons became CSU’s 16th president in 2023 and has quickly emerged as a prominent leader in higher education, business, and civic circles throughout Colorado.

Known for her collaborative leadership style and focus on innovation, Parsons has emphasized strengthening CSU’s role as a national research university while advancing student success, economic mobility, and statewide impact.

Together, the recognitions of Parsons and Spicer underscore how women leaders are shaping the future of the CSU System at the highest levels. Their leadership spans very different campuses and missions — from a flagship land-grant research university to one of the nation’s leading fully online public universities — but reflects a shared commitment to access, innovation, and public service.

The Titan100 recognition also extends to Dr. Sandy Jones, chief engagement officer at CSU Global, who earned the honor for a second consecutive year. Jones has been recognized for her leadership and strategic contributions supporting CSU Global’s continued growth and national reputation. While individual awards are meaningful, together they paint a broader picture of a leadership culture that values collaboration, excellence, and the advancement of women in executive roles.

Across the CSU System, women are increasingly serving in influential leadership positions that help shape institutional strategy, student experience, research priorities, workforce development, and community impact. These recognitions reinforce the CSU System’s reputation not only as a leader in higher education but also as an organization where talented women leaders are thriving and driving meaningful change.
