CSU System Board of Governors will meet virtually Dec. 18 to consider the appointment of Rhonda Epper as the new CSU Pueblo President

The Board of Governors of the Colorado State University System will convene a special virtual meeting at 2 p.m. on Dec. 18 to consider the formal appointment of Dr. Rhonda Epper as the CSU Pueblo president.

On Dec. 4, the Board announced Epper, who has served as president of Trinidad State College in Trinidad, Colo. since June 2019, as the sole finalist, beginning a state mandatory 14-day waiting period prior to entering into an employment agreement.

The virtual meeting will be held at 2 p.m. on Dec. 18 and be livestreamed at csusystem.edu/livestream. During the meeting, the Board of Governors will consider the formal appointment of Epper as the President of CSU Pueblo and will begin discussions to enter into an employment agreement.

The CSU System Board of Governors identified Epper as the sole finalist noting her connections to Southern Colorado and strong higher education background, including her successful leadership at Trinidad State, where she oversaw a $45 million capital campaign and guided the coalition that advanced the college’s name change.

The Board highlighted her record of building regional economic partnerships, expanding academic offerings in high-demand fields, and strengthening outcomes for students across the institution. The Board also recognized her experience with statewide and regional higher education organizations, underscoring the depth of her service within Colorado’s community college system.

Epper earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
