We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague and dear friend, Dr. Becky Takeda-Tinker, the guiding force behind the growth and success of CSU Global – the nation’s first fully online public university. She was a brilliant mind, a courageous leader, and a dedicated public servant whose impact will be felt for generations to come. Dr. Becky was truly a giant in her field – someone who approached every challenge with determination, humility, and a steadfast commitment to supporting others.
She brought a tireless, can-do attitude to her work and lifted up those around her until her very last moments. Dr. Becky leaves behind an extraordinary legacy of advancing opportunities for learners across our country and fearlessly exploring new ideas and possibilities that had yet to be seen. The world is better because of her, and all of us who had the privilege to know and work alongside her are better because of her as well.
Our thoughts are with her family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, and we are forever grateful for the extraordinary legacy she built as part of the CSU System.
