CSU System Chancellor Search - Stakeholder Input

The Colorado State University System is soliciting input from stakeholders regarding desired attributes of a CSU System Chancellor.

“This is a critical public position for the university and the state with tremendous responsibility and accountability,” said Board of Governors Chair, Douglas Jones. “At the board’s December public meeting, the board agreed that before a search begins, it was incumbent on us to hear from CSU stakeholders about what they would like to see in a chancellor.”

Stakeholder meetings

Open forums are planned at locations where there is a mass contingent of stakeholders. While the forums will have time slots targeted to certain stakeholders, all members of the community are welcome at any time. Details and schedules for the forums will be posted as they are finalized.

  • CSU-Pueblo on January 28, Occhiato University Center [agenda]
  • Sterling on January 30, Northeastern Junior College, Hays Student Center, [agenda]
  • Denver on February 9, several locations around Denver [agenda]
  • CSU Fort Collins on February 10, Lory Student Center, Board of Governors Room (formerly Grey Rock Room) [agenda]
  • Colorado State Capitol on February 11, Old Supreme Court Chambers [agenda]

Jones has selected two prominent citizens to facilitate the open forums: Diane Evans, former treasurer of the CSU Board of Governors, who also co-chaired the CSU-Pueblo presidential search that selected Joseph Garcia; and Dick Robinson, co-CEO of Robinson Dairy, who is a past CSU governing board chair as well as a CSU alumnus.
